![]() The first elicits demographic data, whereas the second consists of forty-four items eliciting data related to the participants’ perceptions of their needs. For this purpose, a five-point Likert-type questionnaire consisting of two sections was used. This study addresses participants’ perceptions of their abilities and needs and identifies their comprehensive practices before and during translation tasks. ![]() In teaching, the concept of needs analysis can be approximated to the difference between the general objectives set for the curriculum and students’ performance. It can be viewed as the process of recognizing the difference between what the existing conditions are and seeking solutions. In needs analysis, researchers attempt to characterize weaknesses and challenges and point out causes and suggest answers.
